SW Portugal trail

I have recently walked the trail between Vila do Bispo and Sagres. I took the Fuji X-T3 with the 16mm f/1.4 lens and the X-T4 with the 70-300mm lens. This makes for a great kit when walking. Complete write up in my blog:

Regards.

I tried to upload some example photos, but without success, because their size was too large. Seems a bit strange, given that I resize my images for the internet with 2048 px in the long dimension and max size of 500 kb. I am sorry, but I will not have the trouble of resizing them again.

I also tried to upload an image, 2048 px on the long size, the image was refused because of the size, 2048 px is the suggested size for most all online viewing. If this is not changed I will not be posting images here.

I was there in May 2023. The coastline at Sagres is beautiful. Your picture of the cliffs is better than mine; I was there in midday, and didn't wait for better light.
Standing there, looking out to the ocean, it struck me that at one time, this was the most western point on the earth that anyone knew of in Europe. It was the end of the world.
And if you go to Sao Vincente, you will be the westernmost person in mainland Europe.

Cabo da Roca (near Lisbon) is further west.
And half of the west coast of Ireland - my stomping ground - is further west than any point of Portugal.

Anyway, pedantry aside(!), I also love the western Algarve coastline. My best shot of the Sao Vincente cliffs is a telephoto stitch made with an older Fuji (S5 Pro SLR). The people on the top look tiny! Shrinking it down to 2048 pixels doesn't do it any justice so there's no point in posting it here.
